Enjoy an excursion to pretty St Ives today. With its quartet of sandy beaches and winding cobbled streets that lead to the picture-postcard harbour, it is little wonder why this seaside town is one of the most visited in the region. You will have leisurely free time to explore at your own pace.
The magical Isles of Scilly is our destination today. We depart early, making our way to Penzance for our sailing to St Mary's. St Mary's is the largest of the Scilly Islands and there will be free time here to discover the quaint centre with its shops and cafes, the beautiful coastal scenery or relax and watch the many boats that enter and depart from the bustling harbour.
Please note: due to the early departure and late return of this excursion, breakfast will be a breakfast box and dinner will be light supper instead on this day. We recommend you wear suitable clothing and footwear as the weather is changeable.
The exact duration of your journey will depend on the tides and weather, but it usually takes between 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours. As the ship makes its way into the Atlantic, it passes a point where several ocean currents meet, so the sea can occasionally get choppy.
As with any sea crossing, it might be a good idea to bring some medication with you if you’re often prone to motion sickness (none is kept on board the ship). The sailing to the Isles of Scilly is subject to operational and weather conditions and an alternative excursion may be offered.
