Regional departure by coach, then enjoy a direct journey to the north of England. We will stop in the historic city of Durham on route to give you some free time to explore the medieval centre and visit its famous cathedral before continuing our journey and our hotel for 2 nights stay in the North East,
We start the journey today to the Northumbrian coast and will enjoy a photo stop at the Angel of the North, offering a chance to marvel at its immense size and graceful design against the backdrop of the beautiful Northumberland landscape. Our route then takes us along the stunning Northumbrian coastline. Our first stop is the charming village of Seahouses, where you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the harbour and sample some fresh seafood from the local stalls. There are also plenty of gift shops and cosy cafés to explore.
Next, we head to Holy Island, known for its unique setting, becoming completely cut off from the mainland twice a day by the tide. Crossing the causeway feels like entering a hidden world, with breathtaking views all around. You’ll have time to explore the priory and village, and, if you’re up for it, there’s a scenic mile-long walk to the castle!
Our final stop is Bamburgh, where the magnificent castle towers over the landscape. Entrance is included, giving you the chance to delve into its rich history and take in the stunning views of Bamburgh beach from the castle walls.
We return to the hotel for dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we depart and enjoy our direct journey home.
