We continue through Germany, travelling southwards into Bavaria, where we stay tonight.
Our journey takes us through the scenery of Austria and Slovenia, as we reach Croatia and Krk Island, where we stay for seven nights in Malinska.
Explore the lovely island of Krk, the largest island in the Adriatic, as our local guide shows us some of interesting key sights. During the day, we include a boat ride to Košljun Island with a visit to the monastery. We continue to Vrbnik, where we sample some of the local wines.
Take in the wonderful scenery of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, a magnificent nature reserve, home to terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls. Today, our local guide tells us more about this area, and we also take to the water to enjoy the views on a relaxing boat trip.
Join our optional panoramic boat cruise along the coast of Krk to the island of Cres. See the neighbouring islands of Plavnik and Kormat and we make a stop at Golden Bay/Fox Beach.

Just a short way along the coast, also nestled on the banks of the Adriatic Sea, is the lovely resort of Opatija, which we’ll visit today on our optional excursion. Enjoy time at your leisure to soak up the beautiful architecture, seafront promenade and colourful parks. Opatija has a number of attractions that are worth visiting, such as the Benedictine Abbey of Saint James and the famous statue titled ‘Maiden with the Seagull’.
